Morning departure from St. Petersburg by private minivan (~190 km, about 2.5–3 hours on the M-11/M-10 with a comfort stop). Check in at a boutique hotel by the Volkhov. Halal lunch. A light evening walk: embankment and Kremlin views from Yaroslav's Court — no heavy touring after the drive. Briefing on the UNESCO day, modest dress and prayer times. Overnight in Novgorod.
