Arctic Summer in Teriberka
Four private days beyond the Arctic Circle: Murmansk, Teriberka, the midnight sun, and the Barents Sea — with no false promises about whales.
Trade the Gulf heat for a clear Arctic summer. This private route through Murmansk and Teriberka follows the unhurried rhythm of the best northern operators: comfortable transfers, halal meals agreed in advance, and time to absorb the coast. See the ship graveyard, Battery Waterfall, Dragon Egg Beach and locations from Leviathan; take to sea when conditions are safe. Whales are sometimes spotted, but never guaranteed: the journey's value is the sea, light, stillness and privacy. The midnight sun is especially easy for couples and families.
For whom
For couples, families with children aged six and over, and private groups of 2–6 who want an unhurried Arctic experience without large coach groups.

Program
Private airport welcome in Murmansk (we recommend flights arriving before 2 pm). Travel in a prepared SUV, then settle into the city or a lodge on the route. Enjoy an unhurried orientation: the Alyosha memorial to Arctic defenders, the Green Cape viewpoint, Semyonovskoye Lake, and an exterior view of the Lenin nuclear icebreaker or its museum when open. A halal welcome dinner introduces northern flavours through an adapted menu. Your host briefs you on Barents Sea weather, what happens if the Teriberka road closes, and prayer times. The evening is yours for a walk beneath the midnight sun.
Transfer 30–60 km
After breakfast, drive to Teriberka, about 130 km each way and 2.5–3.5 hours with photo stops at tundra lakes. Explore the village and ship graveyard, the giant swings over the bay, Dragon Egg Beach, Battery Waterfall, cliffs and Leviathan filming locations. Lunch offers seafood with pre-arranged halal alternatives such as chicken, vegetables and grains. If the road closes because of weather or repairs, we replace it with the Khibiny/Kirovsk area or a fuller Murmansk and nearby-coast programme. Spend the evening by the sea under the sun that does not set.
By road about 260 km return; walk 4–6 km
When the sea state is safe, take a private 1.5–2-hour boat trip with a local captain; heated cabins are used where available. Look for whales and dolphins, while keeping the promise clear: wildlife encounters are nature's gift, not a guaranteed item. In stormy weather, replace the boat with a coastal walk to bird cliffs and remote coves. Enjoy a halal lunch by the shore, then free time for photographs, tea or a short viewpoint drive. A calm dinner and early night prepare you for departure.
Boat about 20 km, or walk 5 km
Have a relaxed breakfast overlooking the water. Take final coastal photographs and, if you wish, choose souvenirs such as Arctic honey or wool. A private transfer takes you to Murmansk Airport for your flight; departures after 4 pm are recommended. We send you home with an Arctic Guest certificate and a branded tea thermos.
By road 120–240 km

Guest reviews
“Midnight sun and the Barents Sea — unexpectedly calm. No whales, but the team explained upfront that wildlife isn't guaranteed.”
